On any movie set, there can be stressful moments. During the most stressful times, Wendall “Papa” Collett was the calming factor. There was something about him, he always had the right thing to say at the right time. Truly amazing.
Once, I saw him taking apart one of my 1K hand-dimmers. Didn’t think much of it... and a few hours later he had made ten more for me from scratch. I use them to this day.
